Why Lahyer

Where Lahyer
is different.

Pay in naira.

Pro costs ₦30,000 a month through Paystack or bank transfer, or $19 by card, crypto or bank transfer. Render lists its prices in US dollars.

Apps in Johannesburg.

Render's regions are in the US, Europe and Singapore. Lahyer runs apps in Johannesburg and delivers them through a global edge.

A database you can keep.

Free includes a 1 GB Postgres database beside your app, and Free is not a time-limited trial. On Render, a free Postgres database expires after 30 days.

To be fair

When Render may suit you better.

  • You need background workers, long-running scheduled jobs or a Redis-compatible store as managed services.
  • You want your app in the US, Europe or Singapore.
  • You need autoscaling across many instances. Lahyer Pro runs up to 3 replicas.

Moving from Render

Three steps
to switch.

Connect the same repository.

Import it from GitHub or GitLab. Supported frameworks are detected; for other services, keep or add a Dockerfile.

Bring your data.

Create a Postgres database in your project, then restore a pg_dump of your Render database with the connection string Lahyer gives you.

Point your domain.

Add the domain to your Lahyer project and update the DNS records it shows. HTTPS follows once the domain is verified.
